General Welfare Pratisthan (GWP) is a non-governmental, non-profit development organization dedicated to bringing lasting positive change to the lives of marginalized communities in Nepal.
Established in 1993, GWP has consistently worked in the field of social welfare, focusing on health, education, poverty reduction, gender equality, and community development. The organization is registered with the Kathmandu District Administration Office (Reg. No. 336/049/050) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Affln. No. 1366/049/050).
GWP envisions a progressive, well-cultured, and respectable society. Its mission is to foster an organized and self-reliant community free from social and economic disparities.

By enhancing access to equitable, quality education and ensuring that marginalized children and youth are empowered to achieve their full potential.
By creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and implementing economic empowerment programs targeted at disadvantaged and marginalized groups.
By preventing the trafficking and sexual exploitation of girls and women through awareness, advocacy, and comprehensive support services.
By addressing gender-based and conflict-related violence, while promoting social harmony, inclusivity, and community resilience.
By increasing awareness among the younger generation and encouraging practices that protect and preserve natural resources for future generations.
